Dates are tricky as fake CMIP7 data is only 1900-1910 and observations are later...

I have some fake (nonsense) data to test this with, and a copy of the configuration files (for working with v2.14.0). It is based on the version of the diagnostic script from PR #4220. |

This is 2020 because that's when the sea ice observations end.
