Download links - Point to executables

A user asked me why the download link takes you to the release page. Our current behavior goes against common practices.

For future release announcements, we should directly link directly to the binaries, in addition to the release page.

A good example of what I'm suggesting is the Java download page: https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/#jdk26-linux
