Meeting Minutes
StackStorm v3.9 release
We're getting close to being able to begin the release process for v3.9
There are still ansible, puppet, vagrant images and documentation that need to be updated before we can proceed to the release process.
Updating these will require some exploration by whoever carries out the work as there's no one active who understands how these repositories are operated or what dependencies they have.
No ETA for the release can be given as there is no firm volunteer commitment to work on these repositories.
Eventlet Retirement
With Encore Technologies looking into Opsdroid, Jacob and Carlos will start to evaluate an approach to migrate from eventlet to asyncio in the st2 code base.
Pants
Jacob has been progressing the system package build with Pants and has merged a few PRs into master this month.
ChatOps / OpsDroid
Bradley from Encore Technologies has indicated some of their developers will look into the Opsdroid / StackStorm bot work.
Jake has a local working instance of hubot-stackstorm using hubot 11 and an updated hubot-slack adapter that will support
classic and modern bot tokens. The caveat to this work is it is only known to work with Slack. It was decided to include Jake's
work in the StackStorm v3.9 release so that people can still continue to use hubot-stackstorm on Slack. If people are unable to
use the newer hubot 11 release on services such as msteams or discord, they will need to pin to the v3.8 st2chatops package.
TSC Meeting Schedule
Unfortunately, daylight savings changes on the west coast US caused some confusion as to the exact time the TSC meeting was scheduled. This isn't the first occurrence so the schedule will be updated to use the UTC timezone.
With future meetings based on the UTC timezone, times will remain constant so people only need to track their own timezone changes, if any.
