Insane memory consumption loading an externally generated mesh #16

@GoogleCodeExporter

Description

@GoogleCodeExporter
I have a mesh I have generated with a scipy script of my own, and which I want
to use TopMod to further modify -- primarily extract a mesh of a thickened
wireframe. However, I keep running into runaway memory consumption issues. The
latest mesh I've tried using is attached here -- with 440 vertices and 780
(triangular) faces.

_What steps will reproduce the problem?_
1. Try to load the mesh file in TopMod or PyTopMod 2.223.
2. Watch as memory consumption goes to over 1.8G.
3. Kill the process before the entire computer locks up with swapping.

_What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?_
I'm using 2.223 on MacOSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
