Is it normal for bottom navigation to be recomposed when tab is changed?

I've implemented a tab navigation with a custom bottom bar. So everytime I switch my tabs, the whole bottom bar recomposes acording to the layout inspector. Is it normal? I've followed similar approach to the documentation

Facing same issue doing compose multiplatform , it recreates everything when tab is switched back and fourth
