Is this package still maintained? What is the future plan? I am thinking about using this package for my projects.

Unfortunately the maintenance is very minimal. I cannot prioritize it over my work and personal commitments. I would love a collaborator for the package.

Sadly, gpuR has been taken off CRAN so I take it that installing from Github is all we've got now?

Last note: I was able to install it from Github but had to first run pkgbuild::check_build_tools(debug = TRUE) to get the right build tools installed.
