inline PHP comments inside html messes up coloring and navigator

Notice the embedded php in the paragraph that has a commented function. The inline comment messes up the theme coloring and the Navigator panel as well. If you remove it everything’s ok. At first I thought it’s a HTML5 related problem but it’s not.
