• ``spp_idpass``: Crucially, spp_idqueue relies on spp_idpass for the actual generation and design of ID card PDFs. It sends registrant data to spp_idpass, which then interacts with external ID Pass API services to produce the printable identification documents.
• ``queue_job``: For handling large volumes of ID requests and batches, spp_idqueue leverages the queue_job module. This enables background processing of intensive tasks like generating multiple ID card PDFs or merging them into a single print file, preventing system slowdowns and improving user experience.
• ``spp_area``: By integrating with spp_area, the module allows ID requests and their distribution to be associated with the registrant's geographical location. This enables location-based reporting and management of ID card issuance, such as tracking all IDs distributed within a specific province or district.

End-to-End ID Request Lifecycle Management

Users can initiate and track ID card requests for individual registrants through various stages. Each request progresses from 'New' to 'Approved', 'Generating', 'Generated', 'Printed', and finally 'Distributed', with the option to 'Cancel' a request at earlier stages. The system records the date and user responsible for each status change, providing a transparent history.

Efficient Batch Processing

For large-scale programs, the module significantly improves efficiency by allowing users to group multiple approved ID requests into printable batches. Program managers can then collectively approve, generate, print, and mark entire batches as distributed, rather than processing each ID individually. This is especially useful for managing ID card issuance for a large number of beneficiaries in a specific area.

Automated ID Card Generation and Merging

The module automates the generation of ID card PDFs by integrating with the spp_idpass module, which handles the connection to external ID card printing services. For batches, it manages the merging of numerous individual ID PDFs into a single, comprehensive PDF document, optimized for bulk printing. This process is performed in the background using queue_job to ensure system performance.

Configurable Auto-Approval and User Workflows

System administrators can configure a setting to automatically approve new ID requests upon creation, reducing manual steps for certain program types.
