How did you exactly build these kernels

Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I noticed that when I build an unmodified ARMv5 versatilepb kernel from upstream the mouse does not seem to work in Xorg but when I used your kernel it seemed to work. Please clarify how you build these versatilepb kernels so I can get the mouse working in Mainline.

I'm afraid nobody knows any more, which is why there hasn't been an update for a while (#155).

The scripts are here, but I don't know how to adapt them to newer releases (#152).

Nowadays, when I want to emulate Raspberry Pi OS on QEMU I just use the virt board as I can customize the RAM and the Processor to emulate the Raspberry Pi 2, 3, 4 or 5 as the versatilepb board only allows for an ARMv5, ARMv6, or an early ARMv7 CPU with a paltry 256MB of RAM. When emulating with the virt board I just install the linux-image-arm64 or linux-image-armmp kernel package in a qemu-user chroot in the Raspberry Pi OS image file and extract the kernel and its newly generated initramfs and launch QEMU with -device VGA or -device virtio-gpu-pci if running with QEMU/KVM and add a USB Keyboard & Mouse through a USB 3.0 Controller.

Because of this, I don't think we should use the ancient versatilepb board anymore and we should use virt instead.
