Investigate certain images getting a foreign key error on the asset application metadata table

This error needs to be improved and potentially fixed, as it's currently the raw SQL error message of insert or update on table "AssetApplicationMetadata" violates foreign key constraint "FK_AssetApplicationMetadata_Images_AssetId" with only minimal information of Error finalising Asset <asset id> in DB

This was seen in the shared environment shortly after a release, but was seen previously.

This error could potentially be forced again through the automated portal tests

@JackLewis-digirati do you have trace of request (using correlation id) to track what happened in API + Engine? Be good to capture now so that we can have it for when we're picking up fix - might make it easier to debug.

Could it be something like async ingest, test is deleting before Engine is finished?

@donaldgray I've taken a copy of the stacktrace for future reference, seems like it's possible to force this error to happen by running the portal tests as well

As you said, it's likely that the test is deleting before the engine is completed, I can see that the API completed a DELETE action on the asset at 2025-11-12T14:36:04.487Z, with the FK exception thrown on the engine at 2025-11-12T14:36:04.551Z
