Create side-quest for learning jQuery

We want to create an activity for mentees to get a feel of how jQuery works in this part of the curriculum.

Mentees are expected to have learned how to construct basic Javascript functions and are familiar with the DOM.

Just my $0..02.... Why would anyone bother learning jQuery these days?

(I understand that work on some existing project might require it, but with that criteria, we would need to cover a LOT of fading technology). (And it's probably generous to call jQuery "fading" at this time.
