Acceptance Test: Backup/Restore

• CB will check to see if there is any rake task that will help us with backup/restore
• This ticket can close when
  -- we have documentation on the steps and process to do the restore (NOTE: documentation should include steps to full restore EC2)
  -- have successfully put test into arch (minimal disruption to test and new data into arch to confirm that works - arch exists so we won't spend time spinning up a new environment)
  -- confirm Service Manager's plan for their local storage for videos
  -- confirm impact or adjustment for Canvas LTI

NOTES

1. Full destroy and restore would be problematic.
   Plan for test to restore SOLR and the database (RDS Fedora and Avalon) is more realistic. Manual removal of EC2 is in scope (Terraform Destroy is not). S3 will remain
2. Time: RDS about 30 minutes and SOLR is about 10 minutes
3. Refer to wiki doc
4. This will be done in the arch environment so the other environments are safe
5. Plan an hour working meeting in zoom to do the test, record the video.
6. Pre-test, add multiple videos and collections to arch and metadata details
7. Pre-test we need to know how many objects and the pre-test state of videos, collections and metadata which will let us know as a benchmark that we have restored successfully.
