Copy/Paste in pod console not working on linux/x11

Describe the bug

I have installed version 1.6.0. In the console I can mark text. On linux this usually puts it into the "middle mouse button buffer" so I can paste it with middle mouse button. This is not working. There's also not copy/paste context menu and also no working hotkeys. So I cannot copy from the console.
Paste (via middle-button) works but it pastes what I have previously selected outside of freelens.

Reproduction steps

1. mark text top copy it
2. paste with middle button

Expected behavior

expected to get the selected text pasted (default copy/paste buffer in linux)

WIthin Freelens copy/paste seems to work sometimes. But even when I can paste (middle-button) into freelens, I still cannot paste this outside (so impossible to copy stuff from the console to my external tool). When Using Edit -> Copy from the menu, it somehow works
