Bed/Gantry leveling

I'm working on a custom CoreXY laser cutter/engraver and would like to add Z-axis movement. In order to keep the toolhead mass as low as possible, I'd like to move the "bed" up and down instead of the toolhead itself. Ideally, I would like to use 3 Z motors to achieve this (much like you would have with a Voron Trident or similar 3D printer. Does grblHAL support something like this?

I use a single motor to move the bed in my CO2 laser so I guess yes. Or do you want to control the motors independently?

Ideally control each one independently so that if the bed is out of level, the motors can level it as either part of the homing process or a separate task.

Then you have to use 3 axes (Z, A and B) to control the bed and add (plugin) code to handle levelling. Alternatively only Z and relay control of the 3 motors.
