Before I add that test in can I just check jBPM is still being developed? Previously there were releases every 3 weeks and there hasn't been a new release in 6 months

This MR is also over 2 years old...

jbpm is not actively developed, but we still maintain branch with fixes, so you can build it on your own ;)
