Missing X server or $DISPLAY

I have a raspberry pi 5 with the touch display 2. I run the script but when prompted to start the setup I get the errors below:

Start touchkio setup? (Y/n) y
/usr/bin/touchkio --setup
[23584:0105/160232.444048:ERROR:ozone_platform_x11.cc(245)] Missing X server or $DISPLAY

/dev/fd/63: line 64: 23584 Segmentation fault /usr/bin/touchkio --setup

You are probably running it via ssh, where gui applications can't be shown.
Try running touchkio --setup directly from a terminal on the Raspberry Pi.

Depending if you are using X11 or Wayland exporting the display before you run touchkio via ssh could also work:

# X11
export DISPLAY=":0"

# Wayland
export WAYLAND_DISPLAY="wayland-0"

I just updated the install script, so it should now also work directly via ssh. Please give this a try and let me know if it works for you:

Yes it was over SSH and I will add that I'm a bit of a noob with this stuff.
