DB failover mechanism

Hey people! I have a question; in the Java world, we can setup a connection like this: jdbc:postgresql://pro-das-db-001.domain.net:5437,pro-das-db-002.pro-db.domain.net:5437/das?targetServerType=master

If the 001 node will be down, the connection will automatically be reconnected to the 002 node. Now my question: is this posible through the various Go postgres packages? I can't find any information about this.

If so this issue is a duplicate of #683 I guess.

#683's PR #714 has been in limbo for 10 months. It needs a contributor to at least provide a cursory review and then I'd be happy to resubmit a new PR based on the feedback that won't be stonewalled again.
