Issue with retrieving colors and strange characters in Google Calendar.

There are strange characters in the notification window.

It’s OK here:

• unfinished translations (ENG => POL)

Of course, this refers to the notification sent from Google Calendar about an upcoming Google Meet meeting after synchronization via the ‘Online Accounts’ tool

That notification window is part of evolution-data-server, not Cinnamon. If you view the event using the Gnome Calendar app does it also show those characters? What about on google calendar?

If it's in all of those also, then the event description itself may be corrupted.

The event list in Cinnamon's calendar applet probably looks ok, as it doesn't show event descriptions.

In the calendar applet everything is fine. In the GNOME Calendar application it looks wrong when hovering over it, but after clicking on it everything is fine.

Cinnamon calendar applet: OK

GNOME Calendar:

On hover (tooltip): broken / corrupted characters

After clicking the event: text is displayed correctly

Google Calendar (web): OK

This suggests that the event data itself is not corrupted.
The issue seems to be limited to how the tooltip / notification text is rendered (possibly in evolution-data-server or the tooltip code path), not the event content or encoding.
