Ideal capacity of the ants pool based on the number of cores of the CPU

I am trying to use the ants package in my project. What should the capacity of the pool be? I kept a size of 1000 for initial testing. Has anyone experimented the ideal capacity for the pool based on the CPU cores? For example if I have 8 cores on my machine, would the ideal capacity of pool be 8.
