Proposed feature request

mruby provides a tiny, compilable, embeddable implementation of Ruby that would be perfect as part of Pebble's SDK!

https://github.com/mruby/mruby

The binaries produced are small, self-contained, and extremely low-footprint (mruby has been used on hardware as limited as mid-90s game consoles!)

I and others interested in Ruby and mruby would love to put in some work to add Ruby as an SDK language. This issue is to start that process and gather information to help us get started!

Alternatives

The only alternatives are Python and JS right now... but embedded Ruby is so much better! 😉

Anything else?

The mruby organization has a ton of plugins for various types of hardware, and has an active community of embedders hacking on support. I'm sure we could plug into PebbleOS and the new Pebble hardware easily!
