Unknown Error Code when installing PHPCS

When I try to install phpcs I get an Unknown Error Code message

phive install phpcs

I've tried this using 0.15.3 or 0.16.0. I've also tried with different version of phpcs.

Is there a way to tell what is causing the error?

I'm able to install phpstan, phpunit & php-cs-fixer, just seem to be having an issue with phpcs, and yes I talked with the phpcs folks and the issue can not be created on their end, so something must have changed recently to cause this issue.

Seems to be working fine for me.

The unknown error code is phive's way - or the gnupg wrapper component to be exact - of telling you, that the exec call performed returned a result code which could not be mapped to any of the error or result codes gnupg "usually" returns.

What happens when you use the CLI command as I did in my attempt to reproduce this? If that works, your gnupg folder within phive's home directory got garbled for some reason.

If not, I'd be curious to see what happens when you manually try to do the gnupg signature verifcation:

gpg --homedir /path/to/phive/gpg --verify phpcs-phar.asc phpcs.phar

It works just like yours, but if I just do phive install phpcs I get

So why the difference?

No idea. It looks like gnupg is unhappy with the state of your regular phive home directory. I can't say why.

What happens when you run the aforementioned gnupg call directly?
