[Bug] "Open All as a Tree" Bookmark context Menu doesn't work properly if this addon is installed

Abstract

Seems the "Open All as a Tree" creates flat tabs only if "TST Lock Tree Collapsed" addon is installed and enabled
(A diverted question from piroor/treestyletab#3718)

Steps to reproduce

1. Install "Tree style tabs" and "TST Lock Tree Collapsed"

2. Create a bunch of tabs with parent child relationship, including groups
   
   
   
   

3. Select that Tree, Right-click > Context-Menu > Tree of Tabs > Bookmark this Tree...

4. It asks for save location, create a New folder "A" and save it

5. Visually check once if the bookmarks have arrived by opening Bookmarks in Firefox (Press Ctrl+Shift+O)

6. Close that tree which was made for testing in Firefox (or) close Firefox without Tab retainment

7. Open Bookmarks panel (Ctrl+Shift+O), navigate to the testing folder (A), select the Bookmark folder under it > Right-click > Context-Menu > Tree Style Tab > Open All as a Tree
   

8. It creates only a flat-list of tabs (which is odd)
   

Expected result

Needs to be in a Tree structure with parent-child relationship as represented below

To achieve this, please disable the "TST Lock Tree Collapsed" addon temporarily and try once more, the tree structure comes ordered as you saved to Bookmarks.

Actual result

Faulty result is that it only creates a flat-list of tabs

• Platform (OS): Windows 10
• Version of Firefox: 136.0.2 (64-bit)
• Version (or revision) of Tree Style Tab: 4.1.3
• Version (or revision) of TST Lock Tree Collapsed: 1.4.3

Hmm... sadly I still couldn't reproduce the problem, with exact same versions of Firefox and addons, on Windows 11.

Do you see correctly nested tree after closing and re-opening the sidebar at the "actual result" situation? Or, they are still flat?

Hello @piroor :)

To test this, I enabled the "TST Lock Tree Collapsed" again,
Then I restored tree from bookmark menu,
Then I press F1 once to hide the TST tree,
Then I press F1 once more to show the TST tree,
It is still flat.

I disabled the addon "TST Lock Tree Collapsed",
Then I restored tree from bookmark menu, and the tree is loaded in correct order.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I restart the browser after I enable or disable the addon to test.

Apologies,
I tested once more with TST addons alone and it worked in new dummy profile, and it works with the addon enabled..

I believe I need to check more on my old profile first..
I will try to mirror settings and configs from my old profile to new profile and test and post back.
