Description
What I want is very simple. It's infuriating that this exists no where else online yet. I've seen others post about it.
I want modifier keys like shift to behave like caps lock in that they are toggled on by tapping, indefinitely, until they are tapped again to toggle off. So I can tap shift, which would now simulate shift held throughout all time and all future key presses, enabling me to do things like pressing arrow keys multiple times to expand out a text selection (since shift must be active while pressing arrow keys to select text), and then when I tap shift again, it would toggle off.
Is there a way to do this currently with A) vial.rocks or B) karabiner-elements or C) handwriting code?
