For what purpose do you use the multiple callsign feature? #358

It is not common practice to change the call sign in APRS. Simply adjust the beacon text depending on which country you are in. |

My daughter sometimes borrows one of my trackers, so I have her callsign in one of the profiles. Similarly, on another tracker I have an emcomm team call as an alternate to my personal call. Easier to switch hats this way. |

How do others use this feature?
For instance, in all my trackers my callsign N7UV is always the same. Even if I were to go to Canada or the EU or somewhere CEPT regulations apply, AFAIK so long as the countries have reciprocity, all I might have to do is to get a temporary permit, but it would still be my callsign.
Is the multiple callsign feature more for providing a place for different SSIDs? Even there, I use the same SSID for all 3 selections, just differing in my mode of transport (on foot, on bicycle, on motorcycle/car).
Just curious.
Cheers and 73 - Jon N7UV
