[Feature] Possibility to make a Android 9 build?

Hey, just a maybe really stupid question, but is it possible for this to be built for Android 9, or it has some hard limitations that make it A10+ exclusive?

At the moment, backporting require a lot of effort and fixing and might even loose features so I have not attempted... If I get time, I might make a legacy branch so I can make it work but won't be a regular release...

Time is what I lack 😁
