Find existing library or develop algorithm for PAM confidence scoring #3
Description
Right now we extract potential PAMs based on regular expressions. We don't have any measure to quantify how confident we are in the PAM prediction. Additionally a high confidence PAM prediction could also boost the spacer match score.
This Paper describes a confidence score they call PamCoS. We could maybe use it or adapt it somehow.
This might be a good project for a future lab rotation or bachelor student.
