Goals (With Sponsorship Support)

• Help organising WCAsia 2026 as a Program Team Lead.
• Expand Plugin Review Contributions - Review plugins (160+ so far), triage issues, & handle general inquiries in Help Scout to help reduce the backlog.
• Strengthen Community Engagement – As a Community Team co-representative & Program Supporter, I help run monthly meetings, vet WordCamps, Meetups, & other WP events, mentor WordCamp organizers, & triage Help Scout tickets, also, a member of the Incident Response Team.
• Support Future Core Releases – Contribute as a Test or Triage lead for upcoming WordPress releases.
• Enhance Training & Mentorship Efforts – Resume contributions to the Training & Test teams while mentoring new contributors.

Past Contribution

I have had the privilege of working across multiple teams within WordPress, helping to improve the platform while also mentoring & supporting the global contributor community.

🔹 Training Team Contributions (2019 - 2023)
Served as a Training Team Representative for two years (2021-2023), playing a key role in content development & contributor onboarding.

• Helped create, review Lesson Plans, Courses, & Video Tutorials to support WordPress learning.
• Assisted in Help Scout ticket triage, handling general contributor queries related to the Training team.
• Supported internationalization efforts by reviewing & translating educational content to make WordPress learning materials more accessible.

🔹 Test Team Contributions (2023 - Present)

• A Test Team Representative (2023-2024), helping manage testing & triage efforts across the WordPress ecosystem, helped conduct weekly Test Team meetings to discuss & resolve blockers for contributors.
• Led the Test team for WordPress Core releases 6.3 & 6.4, where I contributed to Call for Testing posts, test triage, & coordinating testing efforts across teams.
• Publish "Week in Test" posts to update the community on testing progress.
• Help maintain & update the Test team handbook to ensure proper documentation.

🔹 Plugin Review Team (2024 - Present)

• Help review newly submitted WordPress plugins to ensure they meet security & guideline standards.
• Assist in plugin triage, handling general inquiries via Help Scout, including trademark issues, plugin ownership transfers, & security concerns.
• Help manage sock puppet investigations to prevent misuse of the WordPress plugin repository.

🔹 Community Team Contributions (Ongoing)

• Currently serving as a Community Team Co-Representative, where I help run monthly meetings, process WordCamps, Meetups, & WP events.
• Vet applications for new Meetups, WordCamps, & do_action events, ensuring they align with community guidelines.
• Mentor WordCamp organizers, helping them plan & execute successful community events.
• Helped to revive the Singapore WordPress community, which has been inactive since 2019.
• Participated in the APAC Meetup Reactivation Initiative (2022) to help grow & sustain WordPress meetups in the region.
• Contributing as a member of the Incident Response Team, handling Code of Conduct violations & other community issues.

🔹Organizing WordCamps & Community Event Mentorship

• Mentored multiple WordCamps, including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Sylhet, Nepal, & other WP events, guiding organizers through the event-planning process. I vetted, processed approximately 30+ WordPress Events & have mentored over 15 events so far.
• Served as a WordCamp Asia organizer in 2023 & 2025 organizing team.
• Co-organizer of WP Campus Connect, a month-long student-focused initiative introducing WordPress as a career path to Computer Science students.
• Led the International Women's Day 2025 initiative, celebrating women in WordPress & tech.
