Let's pretend that I am ready. What does the process look like, and is anybody still around to help me? What do I do? Thanks!

I imagine you'd add Tilde Friends to this page: https://github.com/ssbc/handbook.scuttlebutt.nz/blob/master/applications.md.

We'd probably also want to move the unmaintained apps from the maintained apps list, but not your problem, lol.

But this is only the handbook, which was superseded by this codebase: https://gitlab.com/ssbc/scuttlebutt.nz/. So if you want to Tilde Friends be shown here: https://scuttlebutt.nz/get-started/, which it deserves to be, then you'd add Tilde Friends here: https://gitlab.com/ssbc/scuttlebutt.nz/-/blob/master/content/get-started.md.
