Problem with xdg-open

First of all thank you for the cool solution and comprehensive manual!

I'm almost done to have it running.
But I have this error when running xdg-open URL when connecting to my local computer from remote server:

/usr/bin/xdg-open: 778: /usr/bin/xdg-open: elinks: not found
/usr/bin/xdg-open: 778: /usr/bin/xdg-open: links: not found
/usr/bin/xdg-open: 778: /usr/bin/xdg-open: lynx: not found
/usr/bin/xdg-open: 778: /usr/bin/xdg-open: w3m: not found
xdg-open: no method available for opening 'https://github.com/'

When I run xdg-open URL locally everything is ok - the url is opening in my browser.

I tried x-www-browser URL and google-chrome URL - same story: works locally and fails when from remote.

I have Lubuntu 16.04 (Ubuntu with LXDE).

Can you please give me any hint?
