We need to define the governance structure of this WG to help with sustainability. Here are some the leadership roles which Sustain currently works with

Leadership Roles

1 Maintainer
Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the working group's repository, ensuring that documentation, resources, and project files are up to date and accessible.
• Oversee the planning and execution of DEI-related projects, including creating milestones, assigning tasks, and tracking progress.
• Review and approve contributions from other members, ensuring that the work aligns with the group’s DEI goals.
• Facilitate collaboration across contributors and teams, resolving technical and administrative challenges.
• Ensure long-term sustainability of the group’s initiatives by documenting processes and preserving institutional knowledge.

2. Content Creators and Educators
   Responsibilities:

• Develop educational materials, including blogs, guides, presentations, and other resources that promote DEI best practices.
• Create multimedia content (videos, infographics, podcasts) that amplifies the message of diversity and inclusion within the open-source community.
• Lead or facilitate educational workshops, webinars, and community sessions to engage and empower community members with DEI knowledge.

3. Facilitator
   Responsibilities:

• Coordinate agendas for working group meetings, ensuring key topics and decisions are addressed.
• Serve as a neutral party to guide meetings and discussions, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard and respected.
• Ensure that action items from meetings are clear and that follow-ups are assigned appropriately.

4. Notetaker
   Responsibilities:

• Record detailed and accurate notes during meetings, ensuring that all key points, decisions, and action items are captured.
• Organize and distribute meeting minutes to all participants, providing a clear summary of the discussion and next steps on Github discussions.
• Assist in maintaining transparency by making the notes accessible to all group members and stakeholders.
