Somweb

Custom component for Home Assistant to manage garage doors and gates by Sommer through SOMweb

Installation

With HACS

1. Click here to open this repo in HACS on your Home Assistant instance.
2. Click install.
3. Restart Home Assistant.

Manually

1. Using the tool of choice open the directory (folder) for your HA configuration (where you find configuration.yaml).
2. If you do not have a custom_components directory (folder) there, you need to create it.
3. In the custom_components directory (folder) create a new folder called somweb.
4. Download all the files from the custom_components/somweb/ directory (folder) in this repository.
5. Place the files you downloaded in the new directory (folder) you created.
6. Restart Home Assistant

Configuration

or in the HA UI go to "Configuration" -> "Integrations" click "+" and search for "SOMweb".

Fill inn the fields specifying UDI or URL based on the chosen access mode.

Submit and you are done!

Access Modes

• Cloud Access: The integration can use SOMweb cloud services. The required UDI number is printed on the back of the SOMweb device

• Local Access: Use Local access if your SOMweb device has a static IP or can be accessed using a FQDN. In this mode internet access is not required. A valid URL is required so for IP you must prefix with http://.
