Feature Request - Subtasks

Would you be able to add subtasks for each task or project similar to a tree structure that can be maitain the orders in todo.txt file as well?

Grouping is usually done via projects. If you already have a (top-level) project (e.g. +foo), you can create a sub-project:

+foo-frobnizer design the API
+foo-frobnizer build the mechanism
+foo-frobnizer package in shiny box
+foo include finished subprojects in release

beside that it seems to be somewhat a duplicate of #390 (although no tree structure is mentioned).
