I'm a classically trained musician and composer, I'm interested in asian languages, and both the cultural differences and crossovers between the 'east' and 'west'. I've been learning Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Korean for a while. I'm also fascinated by musical language (and what exactly that means). I am also interested in the medium/role of music in film, and its power to (often subconsciously) manipulate the audience's emotions.
Outside of music, I'm interested in finding creativity through technology. Be that through musical production, web development and design, and have recently been working on a big project to create a SaaS application relating to karaoke. (I won't reveal too much for now, but feel free to ask me about it!).
I hold a First Class Honours BA in Music from the University of York, where I specialized in Composition for Film, and I'm an alumnus of Chetham’s School of Music. I've had the privilege of playing as a principal violinist in multiple orchestras across the country, and have over a decade of experience practicing 'classical' (which is really: early renaissance through to current contemporary) music through solo, chamber, and ensemble performance.
The use of AI for quickly producing relatively decent sites has a really genuine use outside of AI slop content. I've been 'vibe coding' sites such as my , or
to personally enrich my language studying journey, creating centralised resources tailored specifically to things I'm currently learning, while providing me the opportunity to further understand the limitations and advantages of agentic coding.
