The KnitWitches are the steady, sharp-eyed magic-workers of Threadbare — a coven of needle-and-purl practitioners who can knit a moment back into being, stitch a wound shut with a stanza, and cast on a future where there was none. Where the Loom weaves the world's broad fabric, the KnitWitches mend its small everyday tears: a memory dropped, a heart frayed, a StoryWeaver come unwoven. They keep tea on the boil and counsel close to the chest, and they tend their craft in close-knit circles led by figures such as the High KnitWitch, Noria NeedleNest. To meet a KnitWitch is to leave with both a warning and a wool-warm scarf.
