Summary of Changes

Hello @adity1raut, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request significantly improves the testing coverage for error handling within the pkg/errors package. By introducing new test suites and migrating existing ones to a more robust testing framework, it ensures the reliability and correctness of NotSupported, FluidStatusError, and TemporaryValidationFailed error types and their associated helper functions. This enhancement in testing infrastructure will help prevent regressions and ensure consistent error behavior across the system, contributing to the overall stability of the Fluid project.

Highlights

  • Enhanced Error Testing: Comprehensive test suites have been added for NotSupported and FluidStatusError types, ensuring robust error handling within the pkg/errors package.
  • Ginkgo/Gomega Migration: Existing error tests have been migrated and expanded to utilize the Ginkgo/Gomega testing framework, providing a more structured and expressive testing approach.
  • New Test Files: Dedicated test files (deprecated_test.go and notsupported_test.go) were introduced to better organize and isolate tests for specific error functionalities.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Hi @adity1raut. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a fluid-cloudnative member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

I understand the commands that are listed here.

This test function uses RegisterFailHandler and RunSpecs which are part of the Ginkgo testing framework. It would be more consistent to use Ginkgo for all tests in this file, rather than mixing Ginkgo and standard testing package functions.

// TestErrors ensures that the Ginkgo test suite is properly initialized and run.
var _ = Describe("Errors Suite", func() {
    It("should run the specs", func() {
        // Add some basic assertion to ensure tests are running
        Expect(true).To(BeTrue())
    })
})

Consider using a direct import instead of aliasing errors package, since it's a standard library and doesn't conflict with other imports in this file.

import (
	"errors"

	. "github.com/onsi/ginkgo/v2"
	. "github.com/onsi/gomega"
	metav1 "k8s.io/apimachinery/pkg/apis/meta/v1"
	"k8s.io/apimachinery/pkg/runtime/schema"
)
