Proof of concept/problem. Guess this works unless https://github.com/bernt-matthias/filesystem_spec/blob/a7ce12c177ccf1052cb0ffed20e6a49d2390b6a0/fsspec/implementations/tests/test_smb.py#L78 is executed.
