this prevents vector reallocation using the copy constructor, which is much more expensive
iostreams seem to really slow down parsing, in the case of if you already have the string in memory and dont need to read it from a file

compared to nlohmann this library was 2x slower, now its about equal
key lookup is still O(n) but i'll leave that for another time
