Using BUILD_MVN_OPTS_CURRENT was wrong. Such variables have to be defined in .ci/pull-request-config.yaml so that they would be replaced in the command.

a minor fix of #150 to make sure MemoryLeakTest to run
This is already fixed in 1.0.x. So this is a kind of forward-port.
