Welcome to the wiki for all of the Firebase services used by Machbaschaft!

To implement the backend of Machbaschaft, we use the Firebase ecosystem. The services used are listed below, each with a link to their own documentation on how we use them.

Services

  • Functions - As an REST API end-point for our twilio bot
  • Firestore - As the NoSQL database storing all of Machbaschafts data

Terminology

While we try to keep the wiki as self explanatory as possible, some of the wording used might need additional explanations.

  • Caller The person that called our bot and is seeking for help.
  • User The user of our app that intents to help others.
