update install.sh to support latest rocky linux

When attempting to install on the latest Rocky Linux version (10.0), the original value returns a 0, instead of the expected 10.

With my patch put in place to the script, testing still produces an error. I will investigate further and update the PR with my findings (and hopefully code fixes)
