Just in case: this "Binance Airdrop" message we all recently got is probably a scam. Click the "view it on GitHub" link at the bottom of the email to see that it is a comment made by some anonymous account @prezo-ci-bkp on a PR that is not his, in repo that is also not his and he does not work on. Did it to trigger GitHub notification to send to mentioned "Winners" email which uses @github.com domain as the sender. Btw, I did not check the "Connect Wallet" link and recommend not clicking such. Using this occasion, here is an interesting read about why: https://robertheaton.com/2019/06/24/i-was-7-words-away-from-being-spear-phished/ (yea, I see the irony here of sending you a link 😅) People who are at risk of being scammed: @allanberger, @danbaise, @martin-opensky, @AlvinZhu, @minikomi, @tuanductran, @xhdhx, @Anehta, @definitelycarter, @henryhawke, @Fenguoz, @tsundokku, @yozman, @ilerik, @brackwang, @purplealchemist, @jibuji, @rs0x29a, @twmilli, @robert-dorna, @brunowego, @Eudepistoic-D, @xemesoft, @Oceankenny, @jianesis, @ATREAY, @fenglu09, @trentpiercy, @nrempel, @ittranducloc, @rozele, @Feiox, @wangwangwang1978, @yalu, @awkward-minion, @reedhhw, @yuanying2015, @NiksonX, @shiruco, @timqian, @cryptohaver, @Ayo-Dele, @muhammadsammy, @arteezy, @agrcrobles, @joshuavantard, @sandriaas, @tinhpv, @sosize, @cbearsy @oivoodoo idk if removing the scam comment above does more good or harm because email was already sent :/. Now it is at least a proof, and my message uses it to show that while also notifying everyone of the scam. I also reported @prezo-ci-bkp to GitHub under "Phishing for payment". If it is indeed a scam, a warning next to @prezo-ci-bkp name would be cool. Everyone have a nice day, sorry for taking your time. |
